Lumecca® Intense Pulse Light (IPL), is one of the newest and most powerful systems on the market to treat dark pigments and vascular spots or lesions. How it
works?
IPL treatment is performed without anaesthesia and only sometimes under topical anaesthesia (anaesthetic cream). Lumecca® works through photothermolysis, which uses optical energy to provide a comfortable photofacial treatment. During the treatment, the Lumecca® will emit a flash of bright light to target melanin in the skin. You may experience a slight elastic feeling on the skin, as the device is evenly moved along the treatment area. It is normal for the skin to appear red and feel a little warm after the treatment.

Results
You will notice an improvement in the appearance of your skin after the first session. 24 to 48 hours after the session the pigmentation spots will darken and the following week, the lesions will peel off, giving you a more even complexion. After the treatment of vascular lesions, the vein may whiten, disappear or change colour; these effects will subside within a few days. You will see a decrease in sunspots and an improvement in your complexion a few days after the first session. The skin will look increasingly youthful and radiant over time. Results will be optimal after one or two weeks, with multiple sessions used to further enhance the benefits of the treatment.
